FAQ
Do I Need Both the Web App and the iOS App?
Rizzler Web App vs. iOS App: Do I Need Both?
You don't need both, but most coaches use both. The web app is best for pregame planning at home — building lineups, setting up tournament plans, and reviewing stats on a larger screen. The iOS app is best for game day — scoring, pitch counting, and lineup adjustments from the dugout. Both access the same account and data syncs automatically.
When to Use Each
| Task | Best On | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Building game plans and lineups | Web app (laptop) | Larger screen, easier drag-and-drop |
| Tournament planning | Web app | Complex grid view benefits from screen size |
| Reviewing stats and AI analysis | Web app | Easier to compare data side by side |
| In-game scoring | iOS app (phone) | Quick taps from the dugout |
| Pitch counting and charting | iOS app | One-handed operation between pitches |
| Checking lineup during a game | iOS app | Instant access in the dugout |
| Player evaluations at tryouts | iOS app | Walk around with your phone and score |
| Setting up your roster | Either | Both work fine for initial setup |
What's Different Between Them?
Both apps have the same features. There's no feature locked to one platform. The difference is the interface — the web app is optimized for larger screens with more detailed views, while the iOS app is optimized for quick, one-handed interactions during live games.
Your account, roster, game plans, stats, and settings sync between both apps automatically. Build a lineup on your laptop Saturday morning. Pull it up on your phone Saturday afternoon in the dugout. The data is the same.
Can I Use Just One?
Yes. If you only have an iPhone, the iOS app handles everything. If you don't have an iPhone, the web app works on any device with a browser — including Android phones, tablets, and laptops.
The most common setup: web app at home for planning, iOS app at the field for execution.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the iOS app free?
Yes. Download from the App Store for free. Your Rizzler plan (Free, Pro, or League & Club) determines which features are available — the app itself costs nothing.
Does Rizzler work on Android?
Rizzler doesn't have a native Android app yet. Android users can use the full web app through any mobile browser. Learn more about Android support.
Do I need an internet connection to use the apps?
The web app requires an internet connection. The iOS app supports offline mode for in-game scoring — data syncs when you reconnect.
Is my data the same on both apps?
Yes. One account, one data set. Changes on the web app appear on the iOS app and vice versa.
