How the softball practice planner works
Pick a practice length and age group. The module panel filters to drills that honestly fit that age, grouped by phase: arrival, warm-up, core, conditioning, and cooldown. Drag a module between segments to add it with its default duration, or drop it onto a segment to stack it. Every duration is editable and the summary bar tracks planned minutes against your target.
Free-text segments are always available, so a plan never dead-ends on a drill we do not have. Stations blocks split the team into 2-6 rotating groups. The free set covers tee groove, the throw progression, the station hitting circuit, situational defense, the bullpen block, first-and-third, and reads off release, plus every universal module. The rest of the softball library shows in the panel and unlocks with a free account.

How long should a youth softball practice be?
60 minutes for 8U, 75-90 minutes for 10U-12U, and 90-120 minutes for 14U and up. Short segments and stations keep every player moving; the youngest groups should never spend more than 15 minutes on one thing.
What should a 90-minute softball practice look like?
Arrival tee groove (10), throw progression (10), station hitting circuit (25), situational defense (20), first-and-third (15), and a stretch and arm-care cooldown (10). The default plan on this page is exactly that, ready to customize.
Is this practice plan builder really free?
